The Iron Fist is led by a single commander, named the Wolf. The Wolf appoints his/her Banner. The Wolf is seconded by this Banner, who is the effective commander in absence of the Wolf and carries the banner of the Fist  on to the battlefield. Furthermore, the Fist is divided into functional  units, the Wall (heavy shieldwall unit) and the Rats (skermish unit). These units must bring forward one individual as their leader and representative; these are called the First Wall and First Rat. There is also the Cult, which loosely unites the priests and mages of the Fist. Decisions (choice of contracts, etc.) are made by the Wolf and the Banner. The Wolf may request the advise of others (e.g. First unit commanders), but these have no vote. 

Marianna Borluut is the current Wolf of the Fist, Holz Drachenblut is her Banner.
